Hello! I'm a multimedia journalist and my reporting focuses on intimate partner violence, child care/healthcare access, and food/culture. In 2017, I received my Master of Science degree in Journalism at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. Before moving to New York City in 2015, I freelanced for Marfa Public Radio and West Texas Public Radio.

I've written about how abusers use child custody to control survivors for Pacific Standard, child care access for single moms in higher ed for NY Mag The Cut, how my mom's illiteracy inspired to be a writer for Refinery29, the significance drag brunch for Food and Wine, and chefs protesting a Trump rally in Phoenix for Vice's Munchies. My writing/reporting has also appeared in New York TimesVice, MunchiesShondaland, Edible ManhattanThe Nation, Al Jazeera AmericaAustralian Broadcasting Corporation, as well as an on-camera guest appearance on MSNBC's Greenhouse.

Currently, I'm also a co-director/producer/writer for And So I Stayed, a feature-length documentary about domestic violence survivors who were criminalized for fighting back against their abusers in self-defense.
